Let me just start with a wonderful, big, loving thankyou to
who absolutely spoiled me this Valentine's Day and could not be a more perfect boyfriend. I had the most amazing Valentine's Day!
It's so very awesome to have a man who will take me to Star Wars: the Phantom Menace in 3D
on the most romantic day of the year because I really wanted to see it
. If that's not love then what is?
And for my random feature of the week
with this wonderful digital piece:
Everything about this picture is captivating! Especially the eyes!
Anyways, keeping on the theme of Valentine's and love and stuff, on to what I wanted to talk about today: Love songs. Some of them you love, some of them I hate because you love them *puts on hipster glasses* some of them kinda suck and NOBODY likes them. Very sadly this week Whitney Houston died, she sang one of the most popular and moving love songs of all time: "I Will Always Love You". Being a massive Harry Potter fan myself, the only thing I find romantic about that song is in fact the word "Always"
. Funny enough, although the wonderful Whitney sang it well and it is the most recognisable song in her repertoire, this song is actually a perfectly terrible song by Dolly Parton
Anyways, I just wanted to share with you guys my Valentine's Love Playlist to see what you think, and suggest any I should add to them!
Lovesong by Adele
In a Second by Aly and AJ
Kiss Me by Ed Sheeran
Cosmic Love by Florence + the Machine
Always by Panic! At the Disco (Mostly for the "Always"
The Only Exception by Paramore
Enchanted by Taylor Swift
Flightless Bird, American Mouth [Wedding Version] by Iron & Wire (I know, I know, a Twilight song. But you have to admit, those soundtracks are damn good!)
Llovera (It Will Rain) Mia Maestro (Again, it's a Twilight song. And it's not romantic because it reminds me of Twilight, but please do not get me onto what is wrong with calling Twilight a 'love story'.)
A Thousand Years by Christina Perri
My Love by Sia (Aussie girls for the win!)
All I Ask of You (Emmy Rossum as Christine Daae, Patrick Wilson as Raoul de Changy)
I know it's a rather short effort, but keep it simple right?
Sending plenty of love to my dear watchers, I hope you all had a wondrous Valentine's Day and have a romantic year to come! I am excruciatingly tired and going to bed (hehe, it's 9.45PM over here in Western Australia)
"Silly Love Songs" is a song by SIR Paul McCartney, but the cover by Glee's "The Warblers" is awesome too, yay for Darren Criss!
Tune in next week to discover the innermost secrets of a woman's handbag!
